Blast for the past!

It was my birthday yesterday and I thought it would be fun to look back on some of my older artwork.
Here are a few pieces I did back in 2003, when I first started painting. Its fun to revisit the path that has taken me this far!
Also, dont forget to check out our show this Friday October 31st, 6-10pm at Art Design Consultants. They have 2 galleries, both on the first floors of the buildings–one in the Pendleton and one in the Pendleton annex. Come visit us in our wacky costumes and have some free wine & cheese and see some diverse art! Here is there website for directions:

Alison and I will be taking work down to ADC today for our show on the 31st.
I also got a mural project to work on through the Sayler Park Arts Council!!! Im very excited about doing it. Its not huge, 8’X12′, which is actually a good thing. That way Ill be able to work on it inside this winter. Ill keep everyone posted on the progress.
In the meantime, here are some really cool sites I have found while doing research into how to do this mural.

Thursday links.

Ok, so I gave you a good website last week that you can stay on for hours at a time. You thought there was only one!? THink again, Art is a conprehensive website of some of the greatest master artist in history. This one might actually have even more stuff on it than the last one!
When you get on this site, first check out the artist named William Bouguereau. You wont be let down! Below is a sneak peak at his work. Enjoy!

Event announcement, event announcement!

Sorry I haven’t been keeping this blog as up to date as I would like. Ive been doing more “behind the scenes work” lately.
I do however have an announcement that I would like to share with everyone.
Alison and I are having a major show on October 31st at the Pendleton Arts center Anex. In the Art Design Consultants building. We will also have work across the alley in the Pendleton.
Afterwards, we could also go out and celebrate my birthday(29th) “blushes”
It is going to be a really great show! Ill be showing my Black and White series, and Alison will have some of her work intertwined. We really hope you can make it out! I will be updating everyone soon about times and just giving another reminder.
For now, here is a sneak preview:(remember, art always looks better in person)

God loves you!

He doesnt have it to give, He IS IT! You can do nothing to gain His love, or loose His love. He is Unconditional love.

Anyways, God loves you, YEAH YOU!

1 John 4:7
God Is Love
7-10My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.
